Read through below to see which one interest s you. Classes run Feb 11 through May 6 from 7-8:30pm with a 2 week spring break Mar 18 &\; 25. A fantastic but optional dinner starts at 6:30pm \, and classes start at 7:00pm and run till 8:30pm sharp.\nALPHA\nAlpha i s an introduction to Christianity that is designed to look at some of the predominant questions asked related to Jesus\, Faith &\; the church.\nA lpha is for literally anyone who is curious about what Christians believe and why they believe it. You do not need to be a part of the church or hav e any specific beliefs. The discussions are not in a format where you will be grilled on your beliefs\, but it does talk about Jesus and faith relat ed matters. Perhaps you already believe in Jesus but have nagging question s about your faith. Perhaps you’ve never thought about faith much before . Whatever... I strongly recommend the optional dinner\, then br eak out for a separate video series by Nicky Gumble and the Alpha Team. It explores Alphas "A Life Worth Living" which is a Bible Study in the book of Philippians which has followup questions throughout the small group por tion allow you to express your thoughts and still be challenged by differe nt perspectives. Led in person by a group leader\, this series contains a video series and question booklet.\nPRACTICING THE WAY\nWe’re very excit ed to be offering an 11 week discipleship series out of Seattle called Pra cticing the Way. It is designed to help get you started on the journey of spiritual formation\, help you get unstuck if you’ve stalled out\, or ju st guide you into taking your next step. Ultimately\, its goal is to train you to live as an apprentice of Jesus: to be with Jesus\, become like him \, and do as he did. There is the video series alongside of workbooks to a id your journey.\nEQUIP TO SERVE Level 3\nThe focus in Equip to Serve (ETS ) Book 3 is on learning a simple way to share your faith effectively. Twel ve (12) simple verses will be memorized. Participants will achieve simple accountability benchmarks on their daily quiet time. The class requires 2- 3 hours of work per week outside of class.\nThe class will run for 12 week s beginning January 28 and provide an environment of safety and accountabi lity. Consider to join in for dinner 6:30pm or only the classes from 7 to 8:30pm. Materials provided through Discipleship International and hosted b y a Calvary member and class teacher Bob Kirk. Cost of the course book is $30. Pre-requisites: none.\nTEEN SMALL GROUP\nYippee ki-yay! No western th emes... the phrase just sounds like fun! We’re glad to have the return o f a teen small group on Wednesday nights. Sign up for optional dinner\, co me hang out and we’ll talk relevant Bible stuff for the circumstances i mpacting your life. It’s different for everyone. Lets hang out\, talk ab out it and get some useful Jesus input!\nKIDS PROGRAM\nWe are so pleased t o be offering a mid week kids program. There will be games\, crafts and ma yhem along with kids specific Bible lessons. This is for all kids in K-5 with a registered parent.\n***NOTE*** if you are a parent in one of the ad ult classes you CAN register your kids for dinner as well and we’d be ha ppy to have your whole family. If you are not participating in an adult cl ass and dropping off your child for midweek program\, do so at 7pm. There is not a drop off dinner for kids. There is not a kids program for childre n not yet in Kindergarten. Kids younger than Kindergarten are welcome but will stay with their parents.\nTo register\, we’ll just need your name\, email &\; phone number.\nThere is a $40 cost for the optional dinner to cover your food &\; drinks and a small additional fee for workbooks and teaching materials for the 11 weeks.
